Pulled BBQ Jackfruit Recipe.
This amazing fruit can be substituted for any kind of pulled meat in enchiladas, cheese steak subs and pulled pork BBQ sandwiches. You may have to try it to believe it.


2 can green, young jackfruit – drained and rinsed
1 small yellow onion diced
2 garlic cloves minced
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon cayenne
1 tablespoon coconut sugar
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
1/4 cup water

How to make it

drain and rinse the jackfruit.
dice the onions and the garlic
mix the dry ingredients together
mix the water and the BBQ sauce
put everything together in a bowl to mix it up
transfer all the ingredients to a 2 quart slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours
just before serving add 1/2 teaspoon salt and
1 tablespoon olive oil

good served on small rolls like Hawaiian rolls, crackers or corn chips.
